Female fertility is generally not as affected. However, women with spinal cord injury may still face challenges during pregnancy related to selfcare and daily functioning, as well as labour and delivery.

This document provides an overview of male and female fertility issues. It helps clinicians understand these issues and educate their patients about the different avenues and supports available.

The document includes recommendations for preventive and treatment strategies.
