Implementing the minimum standards supports hospitals and local health districts to meet the requirements for level 3 procedures (with procedural sedation) outlined in the NSW Health Clinical procedure safety policy. The Clinical Excellence Commission’s Clinical procedure safety webpage has checklists and case studies to support the policy.
