In October 2016, the Genetics Services Advisory Committee (GSAC) transitioned from the NSW Ministry of Health to the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI). The previous Genetics Services Advisory Committee (GSAC) was established in 1989 and provided advice and recommendations to NSW Ministry of Health on policy, planning and outcome evaluation of clinical genetics and genomics.
ACI established a Clinical Genetics Network that is supported by an Executive Committee. The ACI Clinical Genetics Executive Committee facilitates the expert advice from network members in regards to clinical genetics and genomics services to assist in the development and implementation of new or improved models of care to improve health outcomes for people living in NSW.
