About this service

Age 50 years and over with minimal trauma fracture

Established osteoporosis or risk factors of osteoporosis or bone fragility. Referral required addressed to Gabor Major.

  • Multidisciplinary team includes:
    • Endocrinologist
    • Registered Nurse
    • Rheumatologist
  • Intervention provided:
    • Osteoporosis medication regimen started (if indicated)
    • Bone Health and Falls risk assessment
    • Bone Mineral Density Scan
    • Pathology service and review
    • Medical Specialist review
    • Development of Personalised Management Plan
  • Common referrals
    • Community-based exercise programs
    • Multidisciplinary Allied Health teams within hospital
    • Community based Allied Health
Virtual Care available using Video and/or Telephone Wheelchair accessible
