This clinical practice guide assists with the initial planning for the management of women with gynaecological cancer.

It is intended as a guide for clinicians to use prior to referral for multidisciplinary management. The consensus-based guidelines were developed by a multi-disciplinary working group and are an update of the Gynaecological Oncology Clinical Practice Guidelines, which were originally published in 2004.

The guide includes the classification, staging and management of each of the following diseases:

  • Cervical cancer
  • Gestational trophoblastic disease
  • Ovarian, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal cancer
  • Uterine cancer
  • Vulval cancer
  • Vaginal cancer.

The guide also includes sections on gynaecologic pathology and clinical issues which includes clinical trials, familial aspects of gynaecological cancer, lymphoedema, palliative care, psychosocial care and vaginal stenosis.
