NSW Diabetes Taskforce

The NSW Diabetes Taskforce has been established to oversee a standardised, state-wide approach to the evidence based clinical care elements of diabetes management to deliver improved experience and outcomes for people living with diabetes, and value to the system.

Priorities

The Taskforce provides strategic advice and oversight to the development of clinical care components for people with diabetes. The three priority areas identified include:

  • Identification and management of people at risk of diabetes-related foot complications (including clinical advice on the implementation of Standards for High Risk Foot Services in NSW)
  • People requiring hospitalisation and insulin management
  • People living in the community with diabetes

Priorities: Immediate (People at high risk of diabetes related foot complications), short term (People requiring hospitalisation and insulin management) and longer term (People living in the community with diabetes)
