Tailored education

  • Applied relaxation, meditation
  • Cognitive coping strategies (pacing, thought challenging, problem solving, goal setting, communication skills, mindfulness, depression management, stress management, anxiety management, sleep hygiene)
  • Daily stretches, activity and exercise upgrading (using pacing), posture theory and application, ergonomics
  • Medication withdrawal plan in conjunction with nurse and pain specialist
  • Preparation for self management after completion of program with time use and home goals, activities of daily living, maintaining the changes
  • Types of pain, pain pathways, central sensitisation, medications, deconditioning and reconditioning, different treatments
FeeFees will be applicable for recipients of third party or worker’s compensation payments

Frequency5 days a week for 3 weeks 9am-4:30pm
Group size6-10 people
Availability5-6 programs a year
EligibilityPersisting pain for high levels of disability
Follow up1,3,6,12 month following attendance
