Eligibility

Patient on the waiting list for elective total hip or knee replacement; Referral from specialist for conservative management

Referral from Orthopaedic surgeon accepted when it is unlikely the patient will meet pre admission requirements for Orange Base Hospital

Services provided

• Multidisciplinary team includes:
  • Dietitian
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Physiotherapist
  • Registered Nurse
• Intervention provided:
  • Comprehensive assessment, intervention and education with coordinator and MDT
  • Prescription of home exercise program
  • Land Based exercise class
  • Development of Personalised Management Plan
  • Liaison with GP and other specialists
• Common referrals
  • Multidisciplinary Allied Health teams within hospital
  • Get Healthy
  • Stepping On
