Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm (Podiatry)

Friday 8am-12pm (every second Friday) 

About this service

  • Diabetes
  • Foot Ulcer/wound
  • Charcot neurarthropathy deformity (either acute or chronic)
  • Acute Lower limb ischemia with foot ulceration
  • Cellulitis or soft tissue infection or absess
  • Peripheral Arterial Disease
  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease

Patients require a written referral from a registered health care professional and must reside in the St George and Sutherland LGA's

  • Multidisciplinary team includes:
    • Orthotist
    • Podiatrist
    • Rehabilitation Specialist
    • Vascular Specialist
  • Intervention provided:
    • Comprehensive assessment, intervention and education with clinician and MDT
    • Outreach
    • Pressure off-loading footwear, devices
    • Preventative and Step down Podiatry services
  • Common referrals
    • Community-based exercise programs
    • Multidisciplinary Allied Health teams within hospital
    • Community based Allied Health

Preventative or Step-Down services:  CHSP funding available at local sites for over 65 patients. Referral through EPC advised to patients under 65 due to cessation of CCSP funding at certain sites.

Outreach: Referral pathway established with Calvary Hospital to refer patients to HRFS if required. Currently building links and processes with Norfolk Island.
