About this service

  • Diabetes
  • Foot Ulcer/wound
  • Osteomyelitis/Bone Infection
  • Charcot neurarthropathy deformity (either acute or chronic)
  • Acute Lower limb ischemia with foot ulceration
  • Gangrene of the lower limb
  • Cellulitis or soft tissue infection or absess
  • Peripheral Arterial Disease
  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease
  • Previous Amputation
  • Malnutrition

All new clients and assessments must have a written referral from a health professional and the patient must present with one or more of the above listed criteria

  • Multidisciplinary team includes:
    • Dietitian
    • Infectious Disease Physician
    • Podiatrist
    • Vascular Specialist
    • Wound Nurse Practitioner
  • Intervention provided:
    • Comprehensive assessment, intervention and education with clinician and MDT
    • Preventative and Step down Podiatry services
  • Common referrals
    • Multidisciplinary Allied Health teams within hospital
    • Community based Allied Health

Limited publicly funded podiatry services offered for ongoing management and review of at risk clients.

Private Podiatry is also available within the communities of Port Macquarie, Wauchope, Camden Haven and Kempsey
