Learn how value-based healthcare can benefit your patients

26 Apr 2022 Reading time approximately

This year’s Value Based Healthcare Week will run throughout 2–5 May, for staff across NSW Health and primary health networks.

This year, staff can attend a variety of online sessions centered around the event's theme 'Embedding value based healthcare across NSW'.

The sessions will range from short, pre-recorded videos to virtual 90-minute, deep dive sessions.

Attendees to Value Based Healthcare Week will:

  • learn how to embed value in a local context, so that it becomes business as usual
  • learn from experiences and outcomes of value-based healthcare, including patient experiences and outcomes, and clinician experiences of providing care, efficiency and effectiveness.

What is value-based healthcare?

In NSW, value-based healthcare means continually striving to deliver care that improves:

  • health outcomes that matter to patients
  • experiences of receiving care
  • experiences of providing care
  • effectiveness and efficiency of care.
