• Depletion of cerebral glucose and oxygen

• Cardiac dysrhythmias

• Rhabdomyolysis

Investigations

• BSL↑

• Lactic acidosis which resolves quickly (within minutes to hours)

• Transient leukocytosis (hours to days)
