Building capability for
innovation

We have empowered NSW Health staff to innovate and improve service delivery with skill and confidence, by providing healthcare redesign training.

Healthcare redesign in practice

The ACI's Centre for Healthcare Redesign continues to build capability for NSW Health staff to redesign and improve service delivery across all aspects of the patient journey.

  • We partner with the University of Tasmania to offer three graduate certificate programs each year.
  • Since 2016, more than 300 people have graduated from the Redesign School.
  • In 2022, we supported 33 project teams from across NSW Health to participate in the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Redesign. In November, we held the first in-person graduation ceremony in two years (pictured).
  • We celebrated our first virtual cohort of participants who are specifically focused on improving Aboriginal healthcare through local redesign projects.
  • Projects are published on the ACI’s Innovation Exchange to support knowledge sharing and learning across the health system.

New-look Innovation Exchange supports knowledge sharing

We revealed our new-look Innovation Exchange, a space to share and promote local innovation and improvement projects and resources from across NSW Health.

Since 2014, the Innovation Exchange has grown to feature more than 200 innovative healthcare projects on multiple clinical topics and care settings.

Changes to the Innovation Exchange include a new-look website, an updated search engine and a refined project submission process to be announced shortly.
