Physical, social, emotional and mental health are important aspects of assessment and holistic management during the menopause transition.
Menopause hubs and referral sites
NSW Health menopause hubs and referral sites for complex and severe menopause are currently being established.
Search the Menopause service directory for easy access to information about locations, contact details and services provided across the NSW menopause referral sites and hubs. Clinicians can also search 'menopause' on the local primary health network (PHN) Healthpathways site.
Primary and community care providers can register for free access to their local HealthPathways site through the PHN. NSW Health staff can access HealthPathways through CiAP.
Multidisciplinary teams in menopause services
NSW Health menopause hubs and referral sites will be staffed by a multidisciplinary team (MDT) of healthcare professionals, who work together to provide care aligned to a patient's individualised care plan.
Below is a summary of the types of practitioners that can support menopause symptoms and related conditions. Not all specialities may be available at each NSW Health menopause hub or site.
Private practitioners working within community and primary healthcare settings may also provide support for patients experiencing menopause symptoms.
