Menopause Care Clinician Toolkit

Tools and resources for clinicians to diagnose, refer and provide care for women with severe and complex menopause.

The Menopause Initiative is establishing statewide menopause services for women in NSW experiencing severe or complex symptoms during the menopause transition.

This toolkit is designed for NSW Health clinicians, as well as those working in primary and community care. It provides information and resources on:

  • diagnosis and management of early, premature and medically induced menopause and primary menopause symptoms
  • multidisciplinary support that will be available through NSW Health menopause hubs and referral sites, which are currently being established
  • assessment and management of cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, mental health, cognitive, pelvic floor and other related conditions
  • providing patient-centred care for specific patient groups, using virtual care and patient-reported measures, and building clinical capability.

For general consumer information and resources, see the Perimenopause and menopause toolkit (NSW Government).
