This report outlines our 10-year plan to enhance the NSW trauma system to improve outcomes for severely injured people.
The plan aims to reduce the incidence and severity of injuries, enhance care delivery and support recovery. It prioritises equitable access for all communities, including rural, regional and Aboriginal populations.
The report outlines priority focus areas and actions, informed by:
- long-term data from the NSW Trauma Registry (2011–2021)
- modified Delphi surveys with stakeholders
- qualitative analyses from focus groups
- trauma verification reports.
