October is National Telehealth Awareness Month. National and State Health Authorities are encouraged to nominate a week in October to highlight and reinforce the role that telehealth plays in the delivery of healthcare. This year, NSW Health will hold events between the 21-29 October 2021.
- Official opening of Telehealth Awareness Week
Thursday 21 October from 1:00 to 2:45pm
- Virtual Care Exchange – highlighting your service
Throughout October, the ACI will randomly select 10 services from the Virtual Care Exchange who will be highlighted during Telehealth Awareness Month. A service from the Exchange will be selected every Monday and Thursday. These services will be announced on the Telehealth Awareness Week page on Virtual Care Central and team members will be invited to speak about their service at the official launch.
- Lunch & Learn
Daily from Friday 22 October – Friday 29 October from 12:30 to 1:00pm.
The ACI is hosting daily Lunch & Learn sessions in which we welcome a range of guests (clinicians, consumers, and telehealth managers / leads) to talk about their insights and experiences with virtual care.
