For John Hunter Hospital (JHH) ECR Service
Clinicians within Hunter New England LHD, Central Coast LHD and Mid North Coast LHD seeking assistance or referring into the service at JHH should follow the pathway of contacting the 24/7 acute stroke service neurologist. The on-call acute stroke service neurologist will triage the patient, if deemed appropriate, to the JHH Interventional Neurology Service.
For Sydney Metropolitan ECR Services
Clinicians seeking assistance or referring into one of the Metropolitan Sydney services should note the following:
- If district or network clinicians referring into one of the Metropolitan Sydney services experience any difficulties or delays in transferring a patient deemed clinically appropriate for ECR procedures this should be escalated to the relevant ECR facility Executive Coordinator.
