Eligibility for endovascular clot retrieval
The NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation has released the new Eligibility for Endovascular Clot Retrieval Referral Guide.
This publication has been developed in collaboration with consumers, clinicians and managers to support the adoption of a uniform approach to access for Endovascular Clot Retrieval across NSW.
The ACI has produced the referral guide to help clinicians determine which patients may be appropriate for ECR treatment. This guide provides information and advice on ECR services, clinical considerations around eligibility criteria and an organisation and system perspective identifying ECR-capable facilities in NSW and minimum requirements for referring hospitals.
The ACI Stroke Network has developed this document by drawing on the evidence base, consultation with clinical experts, and a review of arrangements in other jurisdictions.
