Burn Rehabilitation Management 2 day course

The two days will cover topics across the continuum of care from the acute to rehabilitation settings, including pathophysiology of burn injuries, surgical & reconstructive operative treatment, with particular emphasis on the management of; wounds in the rehab stage, scars, exercises, splinting, pain, psychosocial issues, nutrition, and swallowing and voice.

There will be interactive sessions with burn survivors on the second day emphasising the collaborative nature of the multidisciplinary team when working with severely burn injured patients

This event is aimed at health professionals who have minimal experience or just beginning to work with people who have sustained a burn injury or are interested in this area of practice.
