Nepean Hospital established an Obstetric Pre-anaesthetic Assessment Clinic for high-risk obstetric patients and those undergoing an elective caesarean section. Anaesthetists at the clinic assess the patient and explain anaesthetic procedures in a way that allows patients to give informed consent.
